Constantina Stamoulos, Ph.D
About Me
I am a licensed psychologist and member of the Ordre des psychologues du Québec (O.P.Q). I received my B.A. in Honour’s Psychology at Concordia University, as well as an M.A. and Ph.D. in Counselling Psychology at McGill University. My doctoral research focused on the quality and development of practice guidelines according to best practices and guideline use among social science professionals.
My psychotherapy approach is integrative, utilizing a variety of therapeutic approaches that are tailored to the needs of each client or couple. I mainly use cognitive-behavioural, acceptance and commitment, mindfulness, dialectical behavioural, emotion-focused, compassion-focused, and schema-focused therapy approaches. I also use a supportive, collaborative, empathetic, and transparent approach with clients and couples. I aim to develop and maintain a strong therapeutic relationship and a warm, genuine, and safe therapeutic environment.
I have received extensive clinical training in the areas of mood and anxiety disorders, as well as individual and couple therapy for relationship issues, and sexual-related issues and dysfunction. I also have vast experience working with a variety of other difficulties.
